Here at AlexandAlexa.com we want to celebrate pioneers from the worlds of fashion, music, sport, business, tech and more.

When it comes to the world of business, we really wanted to find a strong entrepreneurial woman, who we consider to be a trailblazer in this area, and decided to focus on actor Zendaya: known also, of course, for her stunning stand-out style!

Her enterprising spirit has led Zendaya to launch a lifestyle app, shoe collection and super-inclusive clothing range, Daya, as well as carrying out style collaborations with brands like Tommy Hilfiger, while still lighting up our screens with her film and television performances in a range of genres.

Did you know…

Zendaya was born in California, to teacher parents. She has five older siblings.

The actor started her career as a child model and backup dancer, before gaining prominence as character Rocky Blue in the Disney Channel show Shake it Up.

Zendaya’s feature film debut was Spider-man: Homecoming. She chose not to wear make-up for her screen test and wore very little throughout the entire production of the movie.

As well as acting and having a number of businesses, Zendaya has recorded several albums, and has written a book, Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years With Style and Confidence.

As part of her philanthropic work, Zendaya campaigns to raise awareness of underserved communities and has partnered with Verizon Foundation as a spokesperson for their national #WeNeedMore initiative to bring technology, access and learning opportunities to children.

Zendaya identifies as a feminist, and also uses her social media platforms to address issues including racial justice, voting, body-shaming and bullying.
