“Never underestimate the power of music… music can turn a bad day into a good day.” is something of a trailblazer, known for his bold and eclectic style of dress as well as his part in hugely successful band Black Eyed Peas and collaborations with some of the biggest musical artists in the world, including Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears.

This music legend also has a huge love of tech and AI (artificial intelligence), and earlier in 2021 kick-started a fundraising campaign to raise money for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education programs for needy college-bound students in underserved communities.

Did you know… was born William James Adams Jr in Eastside Los Angeles, California, in a housing project in Boyle Heights.

His mother encouraged him to avoid conformity and be unique and greatly supported his love of music.

In 2016, released his own smartwatch, called The Dial, which was particularly popular for listening to music.

Speaking about his time as a judge on The Voice UK, said he was proud to do it “because the UK was the first place I saw success. It’s the place I’m the most creative outside of home.”

Before he joined Black Eyed Peas, attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and brought out a clothing line in 2001. He’s also had his own glasses range.

In 2017, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, based in London, awarded an Honorary Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to the profession of engineering.

“By caring too much about what people think and trying to please everyone… you will be aimless. Know your guides and honour your navigation squad.”
