HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR FAMILY?
We’re definitely spontaneous, we have a good routine during term time, but when the holidays arrive, it’s a bit more like organised chaos. We’re always on the move!

HOW DO YOU THINK MOTHERHOOD HAS CHANGED YOU?
For the better, I hope! I like to think that I’m more laid back, but I’m probably not. My husband says I’m a bit more patient, which I suppose you have to be. I’m crazy protective over the children and I tend to worry a lot, but I hear this is universal when it comes to motherhood.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A MOTHER IS?
The flutter in your tummy – thinking I made these incredible little people. Unconditional love. My heart melts when my sons says that he wants to marry me, and my daughter says that I’m her best friend.

WHAT’S THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT YOU’VE HAD SO FAR BEING A MOTHER?
I know it’s boring, but it has to be the birth of my children, and introducing them to my parents for the first time. Such special moment.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WANT TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN?
To love.

IS THERE ANYTHING ABOUT MOTHERHOOD THAT’S SURPRISED YOU?
The children surprise me every single day, my husband too. He’s a wonderful father, it’s a really great journey, but it seems to be flying by, I try and enjoy every moment.

HOW DO YOU MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF?
Hmmm! Get up early or go to bed late. Have a bubble bath. I love my yoga and I try and make time for that. The children are getting older and are both at nursery now, so there’s a bit more time.

AND FINALLY, WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW MOTHERS?
Sleep when the babas sleep, and accept help when people offer.

With thanks to Leonora Bamford of My Baba.
