ToysKIDS’ GIFT IDEAS INSPIRED BY THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
The 12 Days Of Christmas is a tune that definitely signals the festive season has arrived!
It’s a traditional seasonal song which dates way, way back – in fact, the earliest known version of the lyrics was a song called The Twelve Days of Christmas sung at King Pepin’s Ball which featured in a children’s book called Mirth Without Mischief.
It dates back to – wait for it – 1780 – and so has been around for a fair few Christmas Days indeed!
The song is known as a cumulative poem – meaning each verse builds on the next.
