HAPPY DAY 3
Down days just got a whole lot more interesting because we’re here to assist your mini master chefs in combining (arguably) two of the best things to exist in the world… food AND play! Join in the fun by getting to know different textures and shapes, vibrant colour palettes and artistic ‘foodie’ flair with these simple and easy kitchen activities bound to keep them entertained all day long!
Start Their Day Right!
The perfect start to the day and super-duper nutritious, oats are rich in fibre & antioxidants but are, more importantly, delicious! Everybody’s go-to breakfast, porridge is the one for keeping those energy levels up and hunger pangs at bay! So how to make it more fun? Well, introduce another load of ultra healthy goodness to create the cutest little woodland creature faces. Use mango and blueberries for the fur and feathers, and yummy blackberries for noses and eyes! Instagram-worthy? We think so!
Eat Your Greens
Now, everybody knows that the side salad is the least thrilling part of a meal but not this time, mums, dads and kids! Make for a more inviting eating experience when preparing those leafy greens that lack taste bud oomph and zestiness for kiddos! Here are some of our favourite creations for you to try out at home – a red pepper for a beak? Who would have thought!
… And sometimes, just balancing fruit and veg on a cracker-constructed pyramid is all we fancy busying ourselves with on a slow and quiet Wednesday! Partake in a Jenga-esque stacking situ with your little ones this afternoon and revel in the anticipation of making it to the top before the fate of gravity’s law takes over!
