Recently Dolce & Gabbana and Vogue Bambini teamed up to put on a very special party at their store on Corso Venezia, Milan. This has to be the first time in the brands history that you have been able to eat sticky sweets and run about inside this exclusive address. The first floor of the boutique was transformed into an enchanted castle where Mini VIPs were treated to a “Princess and Super Hero” themed gathering, complete with Hulk masks and an appearance by superman.
Dolce & Gabbana and Italian Vogue have been leading the way in dedicated design for children. In Italy, where the family ties are particularly strong, family is often a theme you will find in fashion editorial. Here adult and children’s collections sit seamlessly side by side. Model and GKFW ambassador Portia Freeman was famously featured by Italian Vogue with her baby son Dylan.
The Spring/Summer campaign by Dolce & Gabbana is one of our favourites. Fronted by Italian model and actress Monica Belluci, the campaign centres on ‘slice-of-life’ shots from the Italian family holiday. This sweet family theme is also reflected in the the Dolce & Gabbana Kids collection with prints from the womenswear line being reworked into the sweetest sundresses, separates and swimwear for children.
If you also love this mini-me look you should definitely have a look at Martin Parr’s editorial for Grey Magazine. Here Dolce & Gabanna Model Bianca Balti is photographed doing designer clad housework with her adorable daughter in a charming domestic setting.
