Alex and Alexa is delighted to showcase a whole host of exciting labels; and with our Brand in Focus series we want to share with you a little bit more about the thinking behind them, how they went from becoming a vision to a reality, and what they have in store for the future! For this edition, we caught up with Mogens Jepsen, CEO & Proprietor of Molo.
When was the brand founded and what is the focus behind it?
Molo was born in 2003 in Copenhagen. Since its conception the label has seen its role as the brand that provides “favourites” for every kid’s closet, and we will continue our journey with a high focus on sustainability and responsibility.
How would you describe the look and aesthetic of the brand?
The Molo look and aesthetic is contemporary, cool, urban, fun and vibrant: filled with creative prints, lots of bright colours and innovative silhouettes.
Who are the clothes for and what do you see as their function?
Molo is design on the kids’ terms and can be worn every day, all year round: whether it’s snowy days in technical outerwear, days filled with sunshine, or as your kids’ favourite outfit for day-care or school.
How do you hope the clothes make kids feel when they put them on?
Every Molo style is made in close collaboration with our team of designers and tailors to make sure that the garments are comfortable, fun and easy to wear.
“Our aim is to make kids feel confident and happy when they wear Molo, and we create clothes with fun prints that kids will enjoy exploring.” – Mogens Jepsen, CEO & Proprietor of Molo
