We are always excited to attend Playtime Paris, the international children trade show, now in its 23rd edition.
This year, our Social Media Manager, Andrea, came along, as buyers from across the globe gathered at the Parc Floral de Paris where the bi-annual event is held. With more than 500 brands showcasing their AW18 collections, there were so many collections and trends to spot!

Keep reading to follow Andrea’s exciting day as she chats to brands to get the inside scoop on their upcoming lines.

You know it’s going to be a good week when you’re already in Paris for breakfast and have eclair for dessert. I got to St Pancras around 6.30 in the morning, and I will never get sick of it. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in London, and a traveller won’t be able to distinguish 7 am from 7 pm.

I got on board the Eurostar at 7 am and settled in my seat, watching as the train passes white hills and frozen lake.
It felt like no time had passed at all, and all of a sudden – I was in Paris.
Bonjour! Ça Va?

I couldn’t wait to go into a patisserie to get a well-deserved (I did wake up quite early) croissant and espresso for takeaway.
It was nearly 11 am as I arrived at the Park Floral, the dreamy venue for Playtime.
I noticed the cool outfits Wolf & Rita designed for everyone organising Playtime, and although I attempted to, I couldn’t manage to bring one home. Oh well, better luck next time.

After getting distracted by all the tiny treasures, I made my way to meet the lovely people behind all our favourite brands on Alex and Alexa (including a new addition coming soon!) and ask them a few questions for Life & Style.

WOLF & RITA SAY…

We want to bring art to the kids’ world

At Wolf & Rita, we think it’s very important when designing, to make practical clothes and collections that aren’t too childish – that both kids and parents will love. But most importantly, it’s the inspiration. We want to bring art to the kids’ world and we want to teach something about the arts through childrenswear. That is our goal.

For this season, the main inspiration is the Portuguese carnival and all the characters and masks that people usually wear in this celebration. We also had the idea of taking the women’s fisherman dresses, where they wear several layers of clothes and giving our own twist.

BANG BANG COPENHAGEN SAY…

Inspirations for Bang Bang Copenhagen’s AW18 collection include bananas, cherries, gold…

If I had to describe Bang Bang Copenhagen’s AW18 Collection it would be ‘The tenth-anniversary collection’.

Inspirations for Bang Bang Copenhagen’s AW18 collection include bananas, cherries, gold, birds and a combination of the tenth anniversary.
There will be new styles, prints, materials while also featuring some classic Bang Bang Copenhagen styles.
