Taking inspiration from the school world of the 50’s and 60’s, Miniseri has revamped the classic school satchel. These bags are guaranteed to please youngsters with their denim finishes, skulls, stars and retro motifs, they are perfect for older children who are keen to express their own emerging style. To put these bags to the test we sent one of our Miniseri satchels to the connoisseurs of cool, the O’Kafka family.
Photographer Flannery O’Kafka has been documenting the lives of her 5 children in a blog since last year. Her arresting photos capture the magic of childhood and her blog is great read for anyone who loves a bit of wicked humour and melancholy merry-making.
Flannery and Hugo’s verdict
The vintage-inspired western cowboy print is fantastic. It’s really cute without being ‘twee.’ I really like my children’s clothes to have a big element of ‘play’ about them whilst still being cool and unique. Hugo likes to wear cowboy boots nearly every day, and this bag is the perfect companion. The fact that it has the option of being a satchel or backpack is brilliant and it’s a great size that fits his folder, lunch, pencil case, and gym kit. He’s pleased about the pockets inside to hold his water bottle and play-piece (very important!). After 16 years of buying children’s school bags, I can say that this is one of my absolute favourites of all time.
The best of the rest!
