Hucklebones creator Zoe Goldsmith pulls her inspiration from children’s clothing in the 1950s. She explains that this era exemplified a time when children’s clothes mimicked those of adults but had special design features which were adapted suit their tiny frames. This nostalgic approach manefests itself in oversized bows and feature peter-pan collars, so cute!
The real feature which sets Hucklebones apart is its lovely fabrics. The prints are designed especially for each collection giving a contemporary feel to the brands classic designs. The majority of the fabrics are sourced from British and European mills, some of which have been operating since the 1700s.
